Welcome to Sugar City

This retreat is about embracing “island time”. Things happen on their own time and we welcome that surrender of control. In a way it’s an exercise in versatility.

The schedule is intentionally light, with time carved out for shared meals, local experiences, and doing absolutely nothing when you need to.

We’ll handle all transportation so you can settle in and move at your own pace, giving you a chance to fully immerse yourself in a culture through its food.

You’ll be picked up from the airport and brought straight to the villa — no stress. We’ll have welcome drinks and snacks waiting while everyone settles in. Later, we’ll head to Mr. X’s Shiggidy Shack for dinner, karaoke, and a laid-back night out on The Strip. It’s a chance to shake off the travel day and start getting to know each other. We’ll wrap with a quick opening circle to kick things off.

Day 2

Today is our official beach day where we’ll head over to Shipwreck Beach during the day. There are several beaches along the peninsula strip within walking distance, but we’ll meet at Shipwreck for lunch. We’ll return to the villa with enough time to shower off the salt before dinner.

Day 3

We’ll visit Caribelle Batik to see how local textiles are made. After lunch, it’s off to Old Road for a tour and rum tasting at the distillery. Afterwards we’ll have some down time and a dinner at a sleek lounge in Frigate Bay.

Day 4

We’re out on the water today! The catamaran cruise includes snorkeling, light snacks, and an open bar. We’ll visit our sister Island Nevis for a few hours for lunch and then head back. During the eThe evening is open for whatever feels good — dinner will be on The Strip at Frigate Bay Beach to those who feel up to participating.

Day 5

We’ll start the day with a traditional Caribbean breakfast made right in our villa. Afterwards, we’ll into Basseterre in the morning for shops, cafés, and the public market. Lunch is at El Fredo’s (don’t miss it — they close early). After a little downtime, we’ll go out for Wine Down Wednesday at Cork & Screw — a fun, casual night with music, drinks, and small bites. It will be hot!

Town

Day 6

This is our day for a group outing. We will be learning to cook and prep a real Kittitian meal from a local. After we eat, we’ll treat ourselves to a trip to Kyle’s Coconut Grove for a little local adventure before we have a buffet-style Caribbean dinner under the stars.

Free Day

The morning is open for rest or solo time. In the afternoon the group will take an optional steel pan lesson. Tonight is our final dinner: a 4-6 course meal with a private chef, good music, and a toast to close things out. Show up as yourself.

Day 7

We’ll have breakfast ready for anyone with an early flight. Your airport transportation is covered, and we’ll make sure you get out on time. Say your goodbyes, swap playlists, and grab any last-minute keepsakes. No rush — but we’ll miss you. Safe travels until next time!
